The CDMF serves as a resource to Diocesan donors.
The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation, Inc. helps give Diocesan donors an opportunity to continue their stewardship through a variety of giving methods. The CDMF helps people and parish communities create secure and well-managed funds that uphold our Catholic values through socially responsible investing. Partnering with the CDMF promotes solid financial returns for our diocesan mission today and tomorrow.
The CDMF manages both endowment and non-endowment options that allow donors to specify the charitable interest to receive sustained support. With an endowment option, donors are able to give to a fund designed to be perpetual in its existence. Through a non-endowed fund option, or a “designated fund”, donors are able to choose the duration of the fund depending upon the purpose and need. Generally non-endowed funds remain for more than a year to gain the most investment benefit.
All options provide the donor with access to asset management professionals at competitive costs. The CDMF ensures donors have access to expert assistance and advice tailored to their specific investment needs and goals.
As the fund grows, distributions can be made from the fund providing financial support to the named beneficiary. The Board of Directors reviews the amounts available for distribution. Conscious of the fund goals, skilled board members carefully monitor a sound spending policy to determine an appropriate distribution rate.
The Foundation is able to accept any size donation to existing funds or establish new endowments, and help create non-endowed designated funds with an initial contribution of $25,000. Contact the CDMF staff to learn how easy it is to contribute to an existing endowment or create your own personal fund. Create your legacy today!
