The parish community is extremely important in the growth of Catholics in the Diocese of Madison. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops puts it simply, “the parish has a special role in promoting participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community.”
The Catholic Church comes alive through the parish and it’s parishioners. The parish is not only where the Gospel itself is heard and celebrated, but also provides support, encourages growth, and allows opportunities for stewardship. The parish is where God’s people meet Jesus in word, in sacrament, and are able to start living out the Catholic Church’s teachings.
The CDMF understands the importance of parish vitality in the Diocese of Madison and encourages the people of the Diocese to share in the responsibility of their growth. By donating to a parish, you are helping fulfill the true mission of the Church and helping the Diocese live in community.
