St. Patrick Parish of Janesville believes that growing in faith is a lifelong journey, nurtured by community and guided by the Holy Spirit. Its mission is to provide active learning that translates into an active faith life. This parish community has been serving others since its settlement in 1845.
Catholic Education was always important to St. Patrick Parish. Early on, Saint Patrick School was founded and was conducted in the basement of the Church by the Sisters of Mercy until 1870. From 1870-1920 the school resided in the Saint Joseph’s Convent of the Sisters of Mercy. The main school was built in 1920 and was expanded into the current Early Learning center in 1949.
Over the 155 years of its existence, St. Patrick’s ministries have grown into a parochial school, a religious education program and an active parish community. This endowment fund was created to provide scholarship or tuition assistance to financially distressed families seeking a Catholic education at St. Patrick Congregation.
